MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE

Delay in diagnosis Claims

There can be many reasons why a person might encounter a negligent delay in having a particular condition diagnosed and treated. The consequences can range from a prolonged period of pain and suffering, to paralysis, reduced life expectancy or even death.

We commonly deal with claims where there has been a negligent delay by a GP to refer for specialist tests or advice. Alternatively, delays might be encountered when a GP or even a specialist fails to interpret test results correctly.

We commonly deal with claims involving the delayed diagnosis and treatment of the following conditions:

  • Cancer
  • Spinal injuries, including cauda equina syndrome
  • Bowel obstruction
  • Fractures or soft tissue injuries
  • Stroke
  • Aneurysms

If you feel that your condition may have deteriorated as a result of a delayed diagnosis, please do not hesitate to contact our team of experts.
