About Us

Why Choose Us

We are a Kent based company, operating out of Sandwich. We are affiliated to Girlings, who have additional offices in Ashford and Herne Bay. We specialise solely in injury claims (accident claims, medical/clinical negligence claims and criminal injuries) and can advise on a No Win No Fee basis, where appropriate. All our staff are friendly and approachable. Being Solicitors, rather than Claims Managers means that we will actually deal with your claim ourselves, rather than passing you on to someone else for financial gain. We hold many accreditations and memberships and Specialists on the Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Panels of the Law Society. In appropriate cases, we can seek interim payments and/or arrange private medical treatment for you, at the expense of the other side. Unlike most firms of solicitors in Kent, we can provide you with specialist advice in relation to both personal injury claims and medical negligence claims.

What Do We Cover?

Our specialist Clinical & Medical Negligence solicitors can help if you've suffered as a result of medical negligence or malpractice & can provide you with advice and a free initial consultation about making a No Win No Fee claim.

Risk assessments & costs

We offer a free initial consultation and following this consultation we will assess the viability of your claim by way of a free risk assessment. We will advise you if we can assist you within three working days for personal injury claims and within two to three weeks for clinical negligence claims, depending upon how long our medical experts take to provide a free preliminary opinion.

Where we provide representation under a No Win, No Fee Agreement, you will be required to fund our success fee from your damages upon the successful conclusion of your claim. Our success fee is limited to a maximum of 25% of the total of (1) the amount you are awarded for the injury you sustained and (2) financial losses incurred by you before the award is made. You will also be required to pay from your compensation any insurance premium you have decided to take out upon the successful conclusion of your claim.

Neither the success fee nor the insurance premium is payable if the claim is unsuccessful provided you have complied with the terms of the agreement and the policy.

Expedient professional help

I would very much like to thank you for your expedient professional help over this matter and will certainly be in touch direct should I require any assistance from you in the future.

Feel comfortable

I just wanted to say thank you for dealing with my case this summer. Despite being a relatively small case, you made me feel comfortable that I was doing the right thing by claiming.

Fully informed

We have used Girlings on 2 occasions and on both times we have always been kept fully informed of all the proceedings as they are happening and both occasions Girlings have been successful in winning our cases. We would certainly use Girlings again and would recommend them

Individuals

Clare Milne was my Solicitor, she is an extremely experienced and professional person, which I will be forever grateful for. There were so many aspects of the clinical negligence that I experienced, but Clare Milne consulted with the very best professionals in the medical field to ensure that she had a true and detailed account of my case. Clare also commissioned an excellent Barrister. As a result of all her hard work we were able to settle out of court which was best for all concerned. I would highly recommend Clare Milne.

The Team

I am so pleased that I chose to take my case to Girlings to deal with. They were so supportive at a time when I was extremely ill. Other than for conveyancing I hadn’t had any dealing with the legal industry before. They are a wonderful team at Girlings, always helpful and friendly. Clare Milne was the Solicitor looking after my case and I was always able to speak to her if I needed to, I also had good contact with Clare’s Secretary Eve, and Clare’s personal assistant Raphaelle. Excellent client service from a great team.
