Did you know, it takes over 80 years for a crisp packet to decompose?
The Crisp Packet Project (CPP) is a non-profit organization started and based in Hastings, working with homeless charities across the UK by recycling crisp packets and making them into survival items such as torso mats, pillows, survival sheets, ponchos and wash kit bags.
Girlings Personal Injury Claims Solicitors got involved with the CPP by starting a collection for empty crisp packets within our Canterbury office. Over a period of 6 months, we collected over 300 empty crisp packets which were then individually cut open, washed, dried and neatly folded ready for delivery to the CPP HQ in Hastings.
Thanks to the CPP our empty crisp packets will now be turned into a variety of useful items to help support the most vulnerable members of our community, while also promoting a greener planet.
